Traffic rules, manoeuvres and driving conduct
Being dazzled by an oncoming vehicle at night
Avoid looking directly into the oncoming beam, use dipped headlights and guide your view towards the right-hand edge of the carriageway to maintain direction. Reduce speed according to visibility and stop progressively if it becomes unsafe to continue. Avoid abrupt steering and lane changes. Do not retaliate with main beam, cover your eyes with your hands or use a two-tone horn. The anti-dazzle setting of the interior mirror is for lights coming from behind, not an oncoming beam.
