Increase the gap behind a projecting or unstable load
A projecting or unstable load may shift, fall or force the vehicle ahead to manoeuvre unexpectedly. Leave a greater gap so that you have more time and space to react. Poor weather, tunnels and high-speed roads can also require greater caution; they never justify following more closely.
