Lane-applicability panel

The panel's downward arrow points to the lane directly beneath it and limits the accompanying sign to that lane. It may be installed overhead with a direction or destination sign to show which lane drivers should use for a particular route. It does not indicate a bus stop, the end of a restriction or priority over oncoming traffic. The downward arrow refers spatially to a lane rather than backwards along the road.
