Supplementary panel: slippery road when raining

The supplementary panel shows rain falling from a cloud onto the road and water or mud being thrown up. It specifies that the hazard shown by the main sign is present or more serious when it rains, for example because the surface becomes slippery or muddy. Drivers should reduce speed and increase following distance in wet conditions. The panel does not indicate a car wash, weather station, falling loads, dust clouds or merely a region where rain is frequent.
