Supplementary panels
Dip liable to flooding
The triangular sign warns of a dip, where the road descends and then rises. The panel with wavy lines represents water and specifies that the low point may flood during heavy rain. Standing water can reduce grip, conceal potholes or obstacles and make its depth difficult to judge. Slow down before the dip and do not enter flooded water unless you are sure it can be crossed safely. Read the two elements in order: the main sign describes the road profile and the panel specifies the water hazard.
