Supplementary panels

Road liable to flooding

The supplementary panel uses wavy lines to represent water covering the carriageway. Beneath a warning sign, it indicates a road section liable to flooding during heavy rain, storm surges or similar conditions. Water can reduce tyre grip, conceal the road surface and make vehicle control difficult. It does not represent snow, fog, a swimming pool or a soft verge, and it does not prohibit vehicles carrying substances that could pollute water.
