Start of a parking area

The blue P identifies a parking area or road section. The horizontal left-pointing arrow is used where the sign is installed perpendicular to the road and indicates the side or section over which parking applies relative to the sign. In the associated official question, it is false that this version marks the end of the parking area. A right-pointing arrow is associated with the end in the corresponding official series. The lateral arrow must not be read as an instruction to turn left.
