Supplementary panels marking the start of a restriction

The figure shows two supplementary panels used to delimit the section affected by a main sign. Panel A has an upward vertical arrow and, beneath a prohibition sign, marks the beginning of the restriction. It does not indicate an uphill road, a mandatory straight-ahead direction or the end of a one-way road. Panel B has a horizontal arrow to the left and belongs to the equivalent family used when signs are installed perpendicular to the road. The arrow indicates the side or section over which the main sign applies; it is not a travel direction or a reserved bus lane.
