Supplementary length panels

The supplementary panels show a distance between vertical arrows. This means the extent or length of the road section over which the hazard, obligation or prohibition shown by the main sign applies. Beneath a warning sign, the panel states how long the hazardous section continues; beneath a regulatory sign, it states the length for which the rule applies. It does not give the distance from the sign to the beginning of the hazard and does not require drivers to continue straight ahead.
