Supplementary distance panels

The supplementary panels state distances: panel A shows 320 m and panel B 3.8 km. When placed beneath a warning or regulatory sign, the figure states the distance from the sign to the point where the hazard or restriction begins; beneath an information sign it may state the distance to the indicated place or service. The figures do not show distance already travelled, gradient, road width or required following distance. Always interpret the panel in combination with the main sign above it.
