Snow pole delineator

The tall black-and-yellow pole is a snow delineator installed at the outer edges of mountain roads subject to snowfall. Because it projects above accumulated snow, it helps drivers and snow-clearing operators identify the road margins and alignment. It is not placed at bus stops, in the centre of the carriageway or beside pedestrian crossings, and it is not a post for securing parked bicycles.
