General speed limits in Italy
This information panel is placed near the Italian border and faces drivers entering from abroad. It summarises Italy's general maximum speed limits: 50 km/h in built-up areas, 90 km/h on secondary non-urban roads, 110 km/h on main non-urban roads and 130 km/h on motorways. These are general limits and can be reduced by other signs or conditions. The panel does not show the number of Italian motorways, identify toll-free routes or stand at the entrance to every town.
