Start of a main non-urban road

The blue sign depicting two separated carriageways marks the beginning of a strada extraurbana principale, the Italian category of main non-urban road. From this point, the special rules and restrictions applicable to that category take effect. A version crossed by a red diagonal marks its end. The symbol does not indicate a flyover for making a U-turn, an uphill section, a vehicle underpass or a road closure.
