Start of a pedestrian zone

The sign marks the beginning of an area primarily reserved for pedestrians. The supplementary panel specifies the categories of vehicle that may enter and any applicable conditions or time periods, for example vehicles serving disabled people or vehicles loading and unloading goods. It does not indicate a police station, an area reserved only for disabled people, foot patrols or street vendors. Always read the exceptions rather than assuming that every vehicle is either admitted or excluded.
