Urban lane-selection sign

The image shows an urban advance lane-selection sign for three channelled lanes. The left lane leads towards Terni and Viale Maraini, the centre lane towards Salaria and Terminillo, and the right lane towards the town centre and Via Città. It enables drivers to choose the correct lane before reaching the junction. Traffic for Terni should move into the left lane, traffic for the tourist destination shown should use the centre lane, and traffic for the town centre should use the right lane. This is not a motorway-junction sign or a parking sign, and it does not mean that lane changes are already prohibited wherever the road markings still allow them.
