Advance lane-selection sign for Bari and Pescara

The blue sign gives advance notice of lane selection on a two-lane non-urban road. Drivers travelling towards Bari must position themselves in the left lane, while those travelling towards Pescara must use the right lane. It is installed far enough in advance for drivers to choose and change lane safely. It does not require overtaking on the right, announce that the road to Bari is closed, or warn of a straight section or dangerous bend.
