Flashing amber lights for pedestrians and cyclists

The figure shows three flashing amber lights: plain type A, type B displaying a pedestrian and type C displaying a bicycle. Types B and C may be placed alongside vehicle traffic lights and warn drivers turning right that they must give way respectively to pedestrians crossing and cyclists using the cycle crossing. Type A is a general-warning light; it is not the specific signal placed at a lifting bridge or ferry landing. The symbol identifies the road user at risk. It does not designate a pedestrian avenue or a lane for every kind of two-wheeled vehicle.
