Flashing amber general-warning light

The image shows three possible circular signal lights labelled A, B and C. Type A is a flashing amber general-warning light. It warns drivers to reduce speed and proceed with particular caution. It is not an automatic stop signal: its purpose is to draw attention to a hazard. Types B and C carry pedestrian and bicycle symbols and give more specific warnings.
