Traffic lights showing flashing amber

The figure shows ordinary traffic lights for vehicles. When the other aspects are extinguished and the amber light is flashing, drivers may proceed through the junction with particular caution, moderating their speed and applying any signs and priority rules in force. Flashing amber is not the same as steady amber: it does not announce an imminent red light or automatically require a stop.
