Road markings and obstacle markings
Road markings near a level crossing
The figure shows road markings near a level crossing, including a stop line and symbols on the carriageway. They warn drivers that railway tracks are near, whether or not the crossing has barriers. Drivers must not move into the left-hand part of the carriageway and must watch for approaching trains. The markings do not indicate a tramway crossing 150 metres ahead, a junction controlled by local police or a public-bus parking area.
