Broken edge line at a vehicle access

The figure shows a broken white edge line where a side access meets the carriageway. It separates the carriageway from an authorised vehicle access. The break allows vehicles to cross the edge at the access. It does not mark the entrance to a cycle track or create a lane reserved for cyclists; the figure concerns the relationship between the carriageway and a side driveway.
