Guide lines for turning left

The figure shows curved broken white guide lines within a junction. They help drivers turn left correctly without entering the left-hand road on the wrong side. They are normally used where a left turn is made while keeping the centre of the junction on the vehicle's right. When turning left, the vehicle leaves the guide lines on its left. They do not mark a traffic island and may be crossed by vehicles continuing straight when their path requires it.
