Priority over oncoming traffic

This square blue sign shows a white upward arrow and red downward arrow. At a narrowing or alternating one-way section, it gives your direction priority over vehicles approaching from the opposite direction. Before entering, still make sure that oncoming drivers are yielding. The sign grants priority but never authorises entering without checking. If an oncoming vehicle is already committed to the narrow section, avoid creating danger and allow it to clear.
