Priority road

This yellow diamond marks the beginning of a road on which traffic has priority. Drivers must still check that side-road traffic gives way and must allow emergency vehicles using blue lights and a siren to pass. Priority applies at successive junctions until it is ended or changed by another sign, signal or officer. It never removes the duty to approach junctions at a safe speed and avoid collisions.
