Pass either side

This blue circular sign with two diverging white arrows permits traffic to pass on either side of an obstruction, traffic island, pedestrian refuge island or roadworks. It does not require a right or left turn at a junction; it shows the only permitted sides for passing a central obstruction. It is a mandatory sign and does not prohibit continuing along the road. Choose either side according to the roadway and other traffic, then remain within the appropriate lane.
