Ahead or left only

This blue circular sign shows a white arrow permitting traffic to continue straight ahead or turn left. It is a mandatory-direction sign: these are the only permitted directions, so turning right is prohibited. The sign does not warn of a dangerous fork, require only straight-ahead travel or only a left turn, or tell drivers to pass roadworks or a traffic island on the left.
