Prohibitory signs

No parking on public holidays only

No-parking sign A is combined with plate B showing the public-holiday symbol and the period 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The restriction applies only on public holidays during the stated times. The plate has no independent meaning: it limits when the prohibition on sign A operates. Reading the sign without the plate would give the wrong duration. Apply both the day symbol and the stated time range.
