Prohibitory signs

Start of a no-parking restriction

The no-parking sign is combined with a plate showing a vertical upward arrow. The arrow marks the point where the restriction begins along the road. It is incorrect to say that parking is prohibited on the section already passed; that would be shown by a downward arrow. Here the restriction starts at the sign and applies beyond it in the direction indicated by the road layout. Always read the supplementary arrow as defining the extent of the restriction on the main sign.
