Prohibitory signs

No parking

This sign prohibits parking but permits a brief stop. On urban roads it normally applies from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. unless otherwise shown, and ends at the first junction if it is not repeated. Supplementary plates may mark the beginning, continuation or end of the restricted section. In Italian traffic law, a stop is a very brief interruption while the driver remains ready to move; parking is a longer suspension of movement. Forced removal only applies when specifically indicated or otherwise provided by law.
