No motor vehicles towing trailers

This circular prohibition sign shows a motor vehicle towing a trailer. It prohibits motor vehicles towing trailers, including road trains. A motor vehicle with a light appendage trailer and an articulated bus may pass because they are not treated as the type of trailer combination prohibited by the sign. A car towing a caravan or boat trailer may not pass. The sign does not warn of slowing lorries or impose a minimum distance between road trains.
