No goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes

This sign prohibits vehicles used to carry goods with a maximum authorised mass over 3.5 tonnes. It does not prohibit buses or motor caravans over 3.5 tonnes because they are intended for carrying people rather than goods. A supplementary plate may specify a different mass threshold. Both the vehicle's purpose and its maximum authorised mass matter; body style alone does not determine whether it is prohibited.
