Prohibitory signs

No vehicles

This white circular sign with a red border prohibits all vehicles in both directions. It is placed at entrances to the road, and a supplementary plate may limit when it applies. In the theory test, the prohibition includes lorries, mopeds, bicycles and quadricycles, but does not prohibit pedestrians. Identify exactly what is prohibited and whether a supplementary plate limits the rule by time or condition. Do not confuse this sign with 'no entry', which prevents entry from one end of a road rather than prohibiting vehicular traffic in both directions.
