Carriageway narrows on the right

This triangular sign warns that the carriageway narrows on the right. The right-hand black line moves towards the centre, showing that an obstruction or reduction in width affects that side. The sign may also be used on a two-way road and, with a yellow background, at roadworks. It does not automatically require you to give way to oncoming traffic; a separate priority sign is needed for that. Reduce speed and check the available space before entering the narrow section.
