Carriageway narrows on the left

This triangular sign warns that the carriageway narrows on the left and that passing oncoming vehicles may be difficult. Reduce speed, assess the available width and stop if necessary. The triangle only describes the hazard ahead; it does not by itself establish priority. A supplementary plate may specify the distance, length or conditions of the narrowing.
