Warning signs

Dangerous descent with a 10% gradient

This triangular warning sign shows a descending slope marked 10%. It warns of a particularly dangerous descent and states its gradient. Reduce speed, select a suitably low gear and use the brakes carefully, avoiding continuous braking that could overheat them. A low gear provides engine braking. The sign does not indicate an ascent, a damaged road, a 10 km/h speed limit or a reason to coast with the clutch depressed. Rain increases the danger.
