Hump bridge with restricted visibility

This warning sign indicates a hump bridge or sharp rise, where an uphill section is followed by a downhill section. The main hazard is restricted visibility because the driver may not immediately see what is beyond the crest. In Italian theory tests, the sign is normally placed 150 metres before the hump and requires a speed suited to the available view. It may also warn of artificial speed humps. A U-turn is prohibited; stopping and parking are prohibited on both the uphill and downhill sides; and on a two-way road with only two lanes, overtaking is prohibited on the uphill side. Do not confuse it with a dip, uneven road, roadworks, bridge or tunnel.
